Senior Project Manager/10 Months Contract/Maidenhead/Up To 48 GBP Per Hr
The OTC Global Project Manager will provide leadership for Global Programs and Projects in the OTC Franchise with a high level of complexity.
At the project level, specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Serves as the go-to person for Senior Management Sponsors and other cross-functional business partners for assigned global projects.
Leads the development of the end to end Global Project Plan through a high level understanding of what it takes to develop globally and execute regionally.
Pro-actively leads risk assessments that include risks in all stages of the SPEED process and leads the team in development and implementation of associated mitigation and contingency plans.
Leads the global project team through the preparation and delivery of the Global New Product Development Stage Gates
Identifies and effectively communicates Trigger Events (any unanticipated project events that impact the business case and/or timing) to senior leaders. This includes timely communication to appropriate organizational levels of the event along with the recommended path forward and any applicable alternatives.
Pro-actively provides Alternatives Analysis for acceleration opportunities and/or opportunities to improve business proposition.
Partners with Regional Project Managers to execute the Global Project Plan end to end.
This candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. A MBA or MS is preferred. A minimum of 7 total years of experience in the consumer products industry is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading cross-functional teams is required with experience and the ability to lead and manage remote, matrixed teams in both global and regional environments is required.
Cross-functional experience across at least 2 of the following: R&D or Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing or Finance is desired. Experience launching new products in a GMP and regulated environment (Medical Device and Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical or Consumer Product) is preferred. Ideally from a Manufacturing or Consumer background that has dealt with new product launches and is able to liaise and lead with R&D, Marketing and Supply Chain Departments.
The successful candidate will be a driven leader with an understanding of new product development and regional new product launch requirements sufficient to independently develop and execute an end to end Global Project Plan. This candidate will also have a track record of engaging cross-functional team members to proactively identify risk and develop creative solutions to overcome project hurdles.
Excellent written, verbal and executive communication skills are required along with a demonstrated history of managing complexity and a solid understanding of the New Product Development Process, strong business acumen, influencing, and change management skills. Experience using Microsoft Project is highly desired. Project Management Training and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified experience is preferred.
