S7 PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer
My well-known and prestigious client in the engineering and manufacturing industry is looking for a S7 PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer to join their team who are embarking on projects including baggage handling upgrades, new installations, commissioning of new software and modifications for a prestigious airport in London. My client is currently working on the design phase of a major project working alongside other recognised contractors. This leading company provides services to multiple projects across the UK in all industries.
The S7 PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer will be required to work specifically on both the new software and upgrading existing software on baggage systems at the airport. They will be using all aspects of their Controls Systems knowledge by incorporating their user knowledge of Siemens S7 or other PLC Programmes including Allen Bradly, Mitsubishi and Rockwell. The S7 PLC Programmer/Controls Engineer will need to be able to work well in a team and take responsibility for the design, installation, programming, commissioning and site support of S7 PLC Programmes.
The Key Skills include;
- Experience with Siemens S7 PLC Programmes and Controls
- Candidates from a baggage background will be favoured
- Experience with automation conveyors such as baggage, warehouse or mail sorting, process engineering or manufacturing is ideal
- Strong communication skills and client liaising experience
- User experience of Siemens S7 300, 400, 1200, 1500 is a must
- Experience of writing new controls software as well as the maintenance and upgrading of existing software using S7
- Must be able to hold an Airside Pass
