SAP BI Consultant - English Speaking. Lisbon, Portugal. Start 7th November Month Contract
Our client based in Lisbon, Portugal is looking for an SAP BW consultant with some experience integrating BO with BW 7.3.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Knowledge Transfer deliverables following transfer of maintenance activities to Lisbon and then Knowledge Transfer deliverables following arrival of new internal resource. This includes all phases of Knowledge Transfer: System Learning documentation review, Job Shadowing, reverse Job Shadowing, Certification on both Application Development (Enhancements/Change Requests) and Application Maintenance (Incident Management, RFI (request for information), Service Requests) processes and associated deliverables.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Analyse/understand business requirements, conduct meetings with other teams, including the business teams, translating functional requirements into technical definitions;
- Assess impacts on already set-up data model, incorporating new data models/changes, guaranteeing no regression on functionalities, data and performance;
- Plan and manage activities in the SAP Business Intelligence area in an international environment operating with French Onsite and Indian offsite teams;
- Interact with the other teams, assuming a pro-active role to monitor, follow-up and find an arbitration point between all teams;
- Be accountable for solving assigned incidents and assure that the incident resolution is taking into account the service level agreement;
- Be part of maintenance team and Business Intelligence resource pool, through solution delivery or maintenance activities.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Between 5 and 10 years' experience working with SAP BI, both in project and maintenance activities.
- Fast learner, aiming at being autonomous
- Participation of at least on full life cycle project and good level of understanding of maintenance processes
- Proactivity and results orientation are a must;
- Experience of working alongside internal and external providers in an international context;
- Degree in a relevant area, such as, Computer Science, Management;
- Very good level of SAP BW expertise
- Some experience in BO.
- Interest in technical and state of art SAP datawarehouse areas
- Experience in maintaining or implementing solutions around BI;
- Experience with BEx Reporting Tool;
Languages:
- Must be fluent in English
- French and Portuguese is a plus
