Data Scientist - Python, R, Scala, AWS, BigData, Data Science - CONTRACT
Data Scientist. Exciting opportunity for an established Data Scientist with strong skills in Datamodelling using Python and/or R as well as a good understanding of software engineering (platform built in Scala) and BigData environments (Hadoop ecosystem) as well as Cloud technologies (AWS).
The successful Data Scientist will be working in an exceptional and newly built multidiscipline team of Software Engineers and Data Scientists. You'll be working on a brand new, cutting edge, business monitoring platform for this market leading and highly regarded global household name E-commerce company.
As a Data Scientist, you should have strong experience in data science techs such as numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, pandas. A strong educational background in computer science or maths/statistics is a must (MSc or PhD preferred). Ability to write clean, Object Oriented code and have a strong grounding in software engineering would also be beneficial (Scala, Python or R), as would knowledge of AWS.
