Design Engineer - Aerospace (Catia and PLM)
A Design Engineer with aerospace experience is required to work on a nine month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Samlesbury.
This is a 9 month contract working for a UK leading Defence Company.
Key skills required for the Design Engineer - Aerospace contract role
- Airframe design engineer is required to generate airframe design information using CATIA V4 and V5 and TeamCentre PLM
- Exerience of generating information with 3D models and the generation of both detail and assembly drawings.
- Experience in delivering Mechanical Structural, Systems and Electrical installation design is essential.
- knowledge of the Typhoon aircraft would also be desirable. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and configuration control would also be desirable.
- You will requires a HND or equivalent
- In addition to this level of education, it is desirable to have a Technical/Craft apprenticeship.
- Experience and practical application of Airframe design including structural design, mechanical systems and electrical installations.
- Experience in applying Airframe Design knowledge to generating design solutions. In addition, experience in applying tools and techniques (in particular CATIA V5/V4 and Teamcentre/PLM experience is highly desirable)
