Description

Systems Engineer required to join the Systems Engineering Team to develop the System Architecture, System Design and specify the system elements (equipment and products) with a particular focus on the Information Architecture.

The candidate will need to be an experienced Model Based Systems Engineering practitioner familiar with tactical communication systems, the associated technologies and products, and with an understanding of the user.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
System Requirements Analysis.
Architectural Design & Modelling using ARTiSAN/Rhapsody.
System Design & Modelling using ARTiSAN/Rhapsody.
Definition/Documentation of Architecture and System Design.
Experience with virtualisation, application container technologies.
Broad tactical domain experience with the application layer.
Ability to state and communicate an architectural vision and back up with detailed technical know how.
Design Verification and Design Proving Methods.
Writing of un-ambiguous atomic requirements.
Definition of threshold and objective performance requirements.
Authoring of high quality documentation.
Strong understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering and Requirements Management concepts, familiarity with ARTiSAN and/or Rhapsody is essential.

Technologies that must be understood include:
Experience with virtualisation, application container technologies.
Broad tactical domain experience with the application layer Ability to state and communicate an architectural vision and back up with detailed technical know how.
The candidate will be able to demonstrate significant competence and experience practising as a Systems Engineer.
Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering is essential.
Experience and Knowledge that is desirable.
Tactical network infrastructures including networks, radios and system management considerations.
Messaging and routing protocols, TCP/IP, UDP, including those applicable to wireless (as well as wired) environments.
OSI-layered communications model.

Candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting procedure.
