Description
My client designs and manufactures products for the Space industry, they are now looking for Structural engineer with experience within the Space industry for a 6 month rolling contract.
Mandatory skills:
*FEMAP V11.2/NX NASTRAN 10.1
*FEM modelling
*Knowledge of structural related ECSS requirements (ECSS-E-ST-32 C, E-ST-32-02C, E-ST-32-10C)
*Experience in space projects phase B/C
Preferred experience:
*5+ years working experience in the structural domain
*Experience with space structures for manned missions
Tasks:
*Establishment of FEM requirements to allow integration of subcontractor FEM models in the overall IBDM FEM model
*Establish structural analysis flow and model exchange between parties
*Coordinate the IBDM overall structural design
*Review of subcontractor analysis activities
*Establish fracture control plan structural analysis, fracture control analysis
*Acoustic analysis
*Creation of an IBDM FEM model, for integration into the Dream Chaser model
*Perform structural and vibration verification towards the launch environments
oModal analysis, static and dynamic analysis
oVerification of stresses, bolts, stiffness and buckling
*Preparation of IBDM vibration/shock testing
oTest simulations, notch predictions
oDefinition of accelerometer location for testing
*Derivation of random vibration environments and interface forces
*Shock assessment based on the guidelines from the ECSS-HB-32-25A
*General correlation of model with test results
*On-site support of vibration and shock testing (test houses in Europe)
