Microsoft Lync/Skype For Business Engineer

Our client is one of the main ICT B2B/B2C solutions provider in Belgium with its HQ based in Brussels. They consistently want to develop new solutions for their existing and future clients. In order to expand their offers, they are looking for an Engineer with broad knowledge in Microsoft Lync and Enterprise Voice and ideally Skype For Business.

Locations: Hasselt (mainly) and Brussels + Mechelen

As an Engineer Microsoft Lync Unified Communications will report to the Lync/Skype For Business Operations Manager. He/she will be part of a team that will integrate and test Lync/Skype For Business solutions for our customers. The Microsoft Unified Communications team delivers high end Lync/Skype for Business Unified Communications solutions to companies in Belgium, ranging from financial to government sector, all with different kinds of integration level requirements. The goal of the Engineer Lync/Skype For Business is to understand the requirements of the customer and to translate these into technical specifications. The Engineer Lync/Skype For Business Engineer will also take the responsibility for the implementation and this with the help of our partners. Next to this, the Lync/Skype For Business engineer is working closely with Pre-Sales, playing a consultancy role when they have questions about the delivery to offer.

Duties and responsibilities:
1.Give PreSales support for Lync/Skype For Business implementations.
2.Propose a Lync/Skype For Business Unified Communications solutions to fit the customer's needs
3.Prepare, install and configure Lync/Skype For Business Unified Communications solutions for our customers, taking into account the customer's business needs and all applicable constraints.
4.Perform acceptance tests (Functionality testing, DRP testing, tasks planning, daily follow-up and progress reporting ) after implementations.
5.Document efficiently your work and interventions, both for internal and external use.
6.Communicate on a day to day basis with and through the Project Manager with all involved parties and take up the role of Trainer for End-Users and Administrators within the projects
7.Provide 2nd line support to our customers. You analyse customer situations on site or remote and you propose solution with respect of the Service Level Agreement
8.Remain up-to-date in the latest evolutions and developments in the Lync Unified Communications solutions, with regards to integration with communication application

Your profile (skills and personality):
You are an excellent team worker. You have strong communication skills and are assertive.

You have strong experience in Core Solutions of Microsoft Lync server 2013 & Microsoft Skype for Business.
You also have a strong relevant experience with Enterprise Voice and Online Services with Lync Server 2013 and Skype For Business
You have experience/at least working knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, MGCP/NCS and H.323) is required.
You have ideally experience with the Avaya Plateform.
A profound Networking knowledge and a profound applications & Systems background are a plus.
In terms of languages required, you speak fluently English and are ideally able to communicate either in French either Dutch (preferred).
