An opportunity has arisen for an MoSes/RAFM Modelling Actuary to join the Actuarial Modelling team to complete BAU modelling development work on RAFM. You will be a part-qualified Actuary who has made some progress in the CT exams. Ideal candidates must have modelling experience within Financial Services preferably in Life and Pensions and working MoSes/RAFM knowledge is essential

You will be both technical and commercial, and your skills and experience will include:

  • Ability to learn quickly and react to quickly changing requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timescales on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to take ownership of, and solve, new problems
  • Ability to make sound materiality judgements
  • Ability to confidently communicate financial and actuarial issues clearly and succinctly
  • Managing relationships with other key teams in UK&O, Finance and Risk.

We are looking for a high calibre individual with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Modelling experience
  • MoSes/RAFM knowledge is essential
  • Highly proficient in using MS Excel
  • Experience of actuarial modelling software
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • The ability to organise their time effectively; and
  • The ability to progress and deliver multiple pieces of work concurrently to agreed deadlines.
