SCADA Electrical Support Analyst

My client, a large utilities company in the UK is looking for an Electrical Engineer to provide support for the Electricity Balancing System (EBS) with experience and knowledge of working with SCADA.

Experience required:

  • Experience working with SCADA Systems, including maintaining data.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

  • Provide business expertise in the scheduling and optimisation algorithms in EBS
  • Develop the database and displays maintenance processes for EBS
  • Investigate and rectify data issues in Electrical Network Model
  • Carry out user testing of enhancements and fixes to EBS and other operational systems used by the Electricity National Control Centre (ENCC)
  • Maintain the data held in EBS
  • Investigate and resolve queries from stakeholders
  • Manage system failures, liaising with all interested parties leading to swift resolution
  • Improve our business processes using performance excellence (lean) techniques and ensure that all our business procedures and work instructions are updated to reflect best practice
  • Ensure the ENCC has up to date user guidance.
