SIEM Design Lead - Portsmouth - Contract
Square One are looking for a SIIEM Design Lead to come on board for a 6 month contract based in Portsmouth.
As the Design lead you will be responsible for the end to end design and engineering of the SOM SIEM capability. This role will be responsible for extending product evaluation criteria with SIEM specific criteria, work with selected vendors in evaluating a select set of candidate products; documenting evaluation results and developing recommendations.
Liaise with other Design Leads to produce an integrated design for SOM overall. As part of the Design Lead Role you will help establish a team of engineers and direct and manage the engineering delivery for the scope of responsibilities.

Security Event Collection and Aggregation (Agents, etc.);
Security Event Correlation & Alert Management;
Threat & Vulnerability Management;
Security Operation Centre;
Security Penetration testing oversight;
Supporting Security Policy, Standards & Risk Management;
Anti Virus solution;
Security Policy Orchestration;
Compliance Reporting;
Security Dashboard;
Providing Compute capacity demand to Foundation Service for storage, network, CPU and shared service(IaaS);
Integration with other SOM components.
Skills Required
Extensive and proven experience in Security Management Systems;
Proven experience of Designing and implementing SIEM solution sets;
Proven experience in integrating security tools such as AV, AAA, Firewall, Data Loss Prevention, IDS/IPS into an overall Security Event Management solution;
Experience of applying SIEM to cloud systems ( eg VMware/UCS);
Experience in Threat and Vulnerability Management;
Experienced in Security Hardening and penetration testing;
Recent hands on Design experience in Service Management (Security) and Infrastructure Design;
Strong leadership and self-motivated;
Attention to detail;
Strong communication skills;
Ability to decompose High Level requirements, Model them and document in sufficient detail for low level design;
Experience leading and directing small teams;
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple disparate teams;
Vendor management experience.
This is a 6 month contract paying market rates starting as soon as possible.
