Web/Front End developer - PHP/LAMP/Achieve Forms
An experienced Front End Web Developer/PHP Developer is being sought by a London Borough Council to provide development and support to the Web/GIS, Internet and Intranet applications. The successful candidate will have solid PHP/LAMP development skills as well as strong HTML, Javascript CSS. Exposure to/knowledge of achieve forms is highly desirable.
This contract role will seen you take the lead in designing and developing Front End Web and Mobile applications; providing expert advice and guidance to the business in all matters related to the Web and Mobile.
The following experience is required:
Experience of development within a team in a LAMP environment. Experience of using tools such as Eclipse and CVS/SVN desirable.
Excellent Front End experience with HTML/XHTML, CSS and JQuery. Experience with animation tools like JQuery and Adobe Flex desirable.
Excellent knowledge of integration techniques to Back Office facilities through webservices or XML data loads. SOAP or XMLRPC experience desirable.
Knowledge of web development techniques to improve performance eg CSS Sprite.
Knowledge or exposure to CMS systems.
Knowledge or exposure to local government GIS terminologies.
Knowledge or exposure to server administration. Apache knowledge desirable.
Knowledge or exposure to development on a mobile Front End.
Utilising and developing with social media and blogging tools like facebook and twitter. Wordpress experience desirable.
