Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Content Designer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in London, initially for 3 months offering up to £330 per day Ltd.

Main Duties:

Gain an in-depth knowledge of the Fast Stream and associated programmes
Write great content - in plain English, optimised for the web and according to gov style
Edit content - making sure the site remains accurate, relevant and current
Make sure consistency and excellence is maintained across the site
Publish content - using CMS for all our websites
Work with user experience designers, developers, user researchers and the marketing team to understand user needs and goals
Develop content plans and strategies showing how user needs and goals will be met through content
Share and lead content strategy with key Fast Stream stakeholders regularly
Communicate the principles of good content design to others in the organisation
Source material and facts from scheme leads and other stakeholders to feed into the content
Create, review and update content on the attraction website, blog, social media, email communication, print media and the application service
Review and make changes to the content based on user feedback and user needs coming from social media, call centre etc.

Essential Experience:
Self-starters with knowledge/experience of GDS content guidelines and style.
Experience of working with agile development teams on public sector projects.
Proven track record working on similar hands on projects.
Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both internal and external.
Ability to source material and facts from scheme leads and other stakeholders to feed into the content
Create, review and update content on the attraction website, blog, social media, email communication, print media and the application service
review and make changes to the content based on user feedback and user needs coming from social media, call centre etc.

Desirable Experience:
Experience in print content design
