SQL QA Tester - London - SSIS/SSRS, SQL, ETL
Square One are looking for a SQL QA Tester to come on board for a 3 month contract starting on Monday 21st based in Central London.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Identify the potential ways to improve performance of the existing SSIS packages/stored procedures.
- Handle multiple projects at the same time.
- Ability to review the code.
- Automating the Back End tests using automation tools.
- Creating automated unit tests which run and identify whether to push the build or revert it.
- Creating XSD for XML inputs.
- Communication and understanding of product functionality from the viewpoint of all members of the delivery team, from stakeholders (internal/external) to developers.
- Develop and manage tools and processes used throughout the development and test cycle.
- Supporting the Business Analysis and Quality Assurance Manager in the development and refinement of the Quality Strategy and ensuring that lessons learned are fed back into the test process improvement cycle.
- Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment including validating stored procedures, jobs and triggers.
- Develop SSIS packages for testing purposes.
1. 5+ years of relevant QA technical experience.
2. 5+ years of large enterprise or E-business systems experience.
3. Proficient in MS SQL Server 2008, 2012
4. Working in SSIS
5. Working in MS VS for creating DB Test projects
6. Working in SSRS/Fast stats for reporting purposes.
7. Working with API and XML Inputs.
8. Knowledge in TFS, Continuous Integration and TDD
9. Ability to switch to Functional Automation Testing using Selenium
10. Good understanding of ETL and data warehousing Concepts.
11. Expertise in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server environments including designing and manipulating test data, validating stored procedures, jobs, triggers and replication.
This is a 3 month contract starting on Monday 21st based in Central London with telephone interviews scheduled for Thursday this week.
