Job description summary
A person having strong oral & written communication skill who is expected to communicate with primary customer and other stakeholders (app teams, operations team) on a daily basis.
Good proven record of working on VMware vRealize Automation project(s).
Capability of independently leading modules/teams.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for automating deployments of various infrastructure deployment elements using VMware vRealize Automation and Orchestration
An understanding of infrastructure elements and deployment architecture is required.
Provide 24/7 support for automation stack (vRA, vRO, vRB) support and remediate provisioning failures.
Develop automation solutions using VMWare vRealize suite: vRealize Automation/Orchestration, (vRA, vRO, vRB)
Develop Automation/Orchestration scripts/code using JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, BASH languages
Design and develop Web Services APIs (SOAP/REST)
Contribute in an Agile/Scrum development team
Create, groom, develop and review stories in a continues delivery model - Using tools like JIRA
Create technical designs and architectures to use technology to deliver high-level requirements
Contribute and review code repositories using source control (GIT/Stash/Bit Bucket)
Develop and support Software Configuration Management (SCM) solutions using Chef
Configure OS (Windows , RHEL) via automations
Create, review and approve documentation supporting an SDLC (Software development Lifecycle) process
Create develop, document and execute test cases in quality environments
Support release management activities for new code deployments into quality and production environments.
Follow an ITIL framework to maintain a compliant and qualified environment
IT-Skills
The individual will have in-depth knowledge and experience in developing VMware vCloud/vRealize (vCO/vRO, vCAC/vRA) workflows, writing programs and scripts using JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, BASH and other Scripting and programming languages.
Responsible for developing, building and testing of on premise cloud automation capabilities
In addition, the engineer should have experience in integrations using ServiceNow, VMware's vCloud suite and monitoring tools like Netcool.
The individual should have a very good understanding of how to automate build processes using Chef.
Further, the individual should have experience working in a continuous integration environment and used tools like Git/Stash and Jenkins.
Experience in test-driven development and/or behavior driven development is preferred.
The Orchestration Engineer will interface with product architects, operations leads/engineers and product owners to develop product features and functionalities.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills are needed as a contributing member of a DEV/OPS team.
Project experience which includes Requirement Analysis, Coding, Testing, UAT and support
Very good experience in Project execution using agile development methodology (Scrum) and SDLC process documentation.
Should have knowledge of application deployments and release cycles.
Candidate should be prepared to work extended hours specifically for giving hyper support after production release.
Very good verbal, written English communication skills and should be able to effectively manage customer interactions to achieve a positive outcome.

Screening requirements Total IT Experience: 7 - 9 Years
VMware vRealize Automation and Orchestration: 2-3 Years and above (Mandatory)
Education:
