We are recruiting a Sharepoint Developer based in Taunton/Somerset, South West.Salary between 30-35K, depending on experience* PERM- SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER.*
The role will provide support and provide guidance to customers on their use of the various collaborative technologies used. The Developer will have extensive knowledge in the art of the how and will ensure that our client make best use of it's investment in SharePoint. The SharePoint Developer will support the development of the SharePoint estate by providing SharePoint development configuration expertise to deliver new requirements and changes to the SharePoint environments. This will also involve supporting live issues. To work with (and lead in some cases) external partners contracted to provide implementation expertise and development capability on SharePoint projects. As well as driving technical delivery, the role will be a key stakeholder in supporting site wide SharePoint adoption the post holder will be a SharePoint champion
Main purpose of role
To help evaluate business demands by talking with the business, methodically gathering information, investigate, analyse and document the relevant parts of the organisation in terms of functions, processes and the information used to satisfy business requirements
To define the requirements and create viable specifications in preparation for the construction of new processes or information systems
To write clear requirements, specifications and configuration documentation
To provide appropriate estimates for the design, build and system test phase
To make recommendations on improving processes
To provide expertise in the implementation of SharePoint solutions including the development, configuration and customization of SharePoint applications and forms to support Users and Projects.
To manage and control the development life cycle to ensure that all developments and configuration changes are adequately controlled, documented and successfully delivered
To provide expertise in the creation, editing, and reverse engineering of SharePoint workflows
The post-holder will also work alongside any 3rd parties as necessary
To work alongside Team Managers, Project Managers, Business Analyst, Subject Matter Experts, Solutions Enterprise Architects and Test Managers and Testers on both Project and BAU activities
To Ensure produced software and solutions are supportable, including documentation, knowledge transfer and transition requirements
To ensure any migration activities are supported when there are developments/customisations to be considered
To create, change and then test all relevant development/configuration changes
