Job Summary:
- Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
- Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
- Provide support for project managers with respect to stormwater, grading, site planning, erosion control, and design efforts
- Work will be performed either alone or as part of a team, but will most likely require coordination and interaction with the client
- Prepare project drawings and calculations, design of various project elements for inclusion in the final project deliverable, and coordinating with public utilities/agencies, private utilities, and sub-consultants
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering or other related field required
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, GIS and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, technical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks within budget and schedule constraints
- Must possess a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with stormwater calculations and design
- Experience with Civil 3D is an asset
- Knowledge of erosion and sediment controls
- General understanding of Pennsylvania, Ohio, and WV permitting requirements
- CCTV sewer line inspection and
- ALCOSAN to support their wet-weather programs
