SENIOR SOURCING LEAD/PROCUREMENT MANAGER - £400 p/day - HODDESDONI'm exclusively working with my client in Hoddesdon who requires a highly experienced Senior Sourcing Lead to join their ever expanding Procurement & Supply Chain team. As the Senior Sourcing Lead you will develop and deliver the site sourcing strategy for direct and indirect spend as delegated by Global Procurement and according to strategic plans and New Product Development (XPD). You will also manage the site sourcing team, develop talent and the culture of continuous improvements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute Procurement activities with Commodity team structure for centralized spend:
Conduct spend analysis
Analyze supply markets
Identify sourcing value levers
Execute competitive RFis/RFPs
Lead supplier negotiations, contracts
Implement plans to ensure sourcing benefits are fully realized.
Deliver site sourcing projects on time and to target savings
Foster culture of continuous improvement through regular analysis of spend and idea generation activities to promote innovative thinking
Communicate with key business partners and lead cross functional teams to develop and execute strategies and gather stakeholder and subject-matter insights/business requirements to ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs
SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
Supplier compliance and governance with scorecards and vendor business review
Manage site supply base, leading tactical and operational purchasing activities.
BUDGET MANAGEMENT
Accountable for site material savings & vendor payment; contribute to idea generation sessions with multifunctional team members to fill-in the saving projects funnel including medium to long term savings with Value Analysis & Value Engineering (VAVE) activities.
Ensure spend and sourcing projects are associated to budgets and where appropriate savings can be tracked to P&L, with Finance sign-off.
Site budget and standard costs setting, aligning with AWS plan
REQUIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Strong partnership approach to supplier management, ideally with experience of producing mutual gain long term relationships
Excellent negotiation and strategic sourcing skills
Experience presenting and reporting cost savings, cost efficiencies and continuous improvements at Senior Management level
Expert understanding of accounting processes including forecasting and budgeting, as well as spend analytics and e-sourcing tools
Technical acumen - excellent understanding of core engineering design and manufacturing engineering processes
Knowledge of regulatory requirements as it relates to suppliers and supplied products
Experience working in pumping technologies or automotive sector preferred
Bachelors degree in Business Studies or Supply Chain
Ideally CIPS/CIMS qualified
