Electrical Designer - Military/Armoured Vehicles with Unigraphics experience
An Electrical Designer - Military/Armoured Vehicles experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Newcastle.
This is a 6 week contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Electrical Designer - Military/Armoured Vehicles with Unigraphics contract role
You will be required to undertake a defined range of supporting the system level electrical design activities required to integrate third party subsystems into military armoured fighting vehicles using Unigraphics.
- Development of design material for the electrical installation of armoured fighting vehicle subsystems including:
- Design specifications.
- System wiring diagrams.
- Harness diagrams and pin-out.
- Electrical installation drawings.
- Development of vehicle based electrical power generation, conversion and distribution.
- Application of Defence Standards for design of electrical equipment; especially Def Stan 61-5 and Def Stan 59-411.
- Ensuring adherence to the project earthing shielding policy.
- Preparation of harness design specifications, component selection and supplier liaison.
- Development of electrical protection systems.
Key skills required for the Electrical Designer - Military/Armoured Vehicles
- Electrical Design experience is essential
- Previous experience using Unigraphics
- Experience in Military/Armoured Vehicles is essential.
