A job opportunity with our top end client who is within the banking industry is looking for a Software Configuration Manager. The candidate needs to ensure that right versions of different applications and other configuration items are always in place at right time in all different development and testing environments.
Title: Software Configuration Manager
Location: Copenhagen
Responsibilities:
- Investigates as-is situation by identifying relevant applications and configuration items that need to be managed in different development and testing environments
- Keeps continuously track of currently used versions of applications and other identified configuration items in different development and testing environments
- Plans and keeps track of baselines
- Keeps track of planned and unplanned changes compared to baselined versions, and participates in change impact analyses
- Raises up issues in case of any existing or foreseeable version conflict situations
- Co-operates closely with different application providers/teams, release delivery managers and other counterparties
- Participates in NePP release go-live planning activities
Requirements:
- Ideally previous experience from (software) configuration management from large projects/programmes, IT project management experience is a plus also
- Natural ability to manage lots of details in systematic and accurate way in fast-paced multi-country work environment without losing focus on what is most important
- Ability to make clear/visual/easily understandable presentations and plans in own area to ensure that others will also understand them easily
- Good interpersonal skills, able to use own initiative and work under pressure in a big multi-country programme
- Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
- Fluent skills in MS Office tools
- Travelling is needed from time to time
