This role is for an experienced wire harness design engineer for a leading automotive client based in the UK on contract for the next 18 months. You will be required to design automotive wire harness to meet the requirements of the customer and client.
Skills:
*Design and 3D drafting in Catia V5
*Sound working knowledge of CAD
*Experience with the standards, test criteria and safety regulations in the automotive industry
*Good vehicle production knowledge
Responsibilities:
*Creating, maintaining and amending the wire harness 3D design
*Testing with the corresponding CAD tools
*Creating, maintaining and amending the enable logic for individual construction modules
*Implementation of design variations during the project
*Create wiring system harness concepts
*Control CAD dimensions in the customer system for product development
