MySQL DBA contract - Central London - Large E-commerce brand - £450 per day
I'm helping one of the UK's leading E-commerce retailers in the digital print sector recruit a MySQL DBA into there central London office near to London Bridge. This company are a true pioneer in their market and have the largest market share in Europe.
This role requires an experienced MySQL DBA with an open mind regarding data storage strategies. The role will require you to monitor and improve existing databases as well as offering expertise in project teams.
You will be responsible for the management of MySQL in Development/Staging/Production environments including installation, configuration, backup, recovery, upgrades and schema changes performing database health, monitoring and diagnostics duties.
Required expertise

Tuning experience with MySQL, particularly InnoDB

Understanding of SQL optimisation and why it is advantageous

Experience with percona xtrabackup and percona-toolkit

Experience in general IT security, backup, recovery and archival concepts and procedures

Solid Linux experience

Experience with Mariadb Galera Cluster
The role is a contract role, with an immediate start, offering up to £450 per day for an initial 4 months contract.
