Description

Are you an experienced mobile communications specialist/technical lead with the ability to transition and integrate mobile services within large organisations?

We are looking for someone who can play a pivotal lead within our client's Mobile Communication Programme by mapping existing processes, supporting core transition requirements and developing opportunities for potential alignment across our client's regional public sector service and sister emergency services and organisations.

This role will require:

  • Providing support for the Emergency Services Mobile Communication Programme (ESMCP) by mapping existing processes, supporting core transition requirements and developing opportunities for potential alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Engaging with partners to analyse, design and support the development of infrastructure and applications that meet national and regional requirements.
  • Once infrastructure and applications are designed, supporting the transition to the new emergency services network, including the installation, configuration, tuning and acceptance testing of the new enabling technology to national and regional performance standards.
  • Being involved in all elements of the life cycle from inception until customer sign off and be involved in the analysis, design and creation of processes and solutions, working within or acting as the technical support for all ESMCP projects.
  • Ensuring that enabling technology operates to professional standards of quality and performance in terms of stability, availability, security, responsiveness and capacity and supports the integration and compliance of technology.
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to the ESMCP Programme team, ensuring that any technical risks or restrictions are identified and brought to the attention of the Programme Delivery Manager, with the ability to propose suitable advice, responses and initiate retrieval actions.

Ideally you will have held a similar role within a large corporate or public sector organisation, for at least several years.

You must be able to evidence:

  • The ability to understand (or quickly appreciate) the end to end technical implications related to connecting Police force communications networks with the national (EE) emergency service network (ESN).
  • Confidence in the understanding of implications of the new national ESN for existing force ICT and mobile communications solutions.
  • The ability to clearly present technical issues and solutions to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrate a strength in technical problem solving and the ability to use this skill in the delivery of new systems.

Our client is looking to shortlist and interview immediately so please do not hesitate to send us your CV if you have the skills and experience detailed above.

This role is also subject to security checks.
