Description

Summary:

  • Perform design tasks and develop components of application and technical architecture, Develop test cases and data, Execute tests for the application or technical architecture components, work with other programmers, designers, and architects to meet application requirements and performance goals, participate in code reviews, inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project, fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing, document the application to facilitate maintenance.
  • This position is part of Treasury Management Healthcare MIS team based in Pittsburgh, PA, You will be working on a complex clearinghouse application that handles EDI file based interchange between healthcare payers and providers. Your responsibilities would include handling EDI Healthcare transactions including HIPAA validation and message format mapping

Education/Experience:

  • High School Degree and Bachelors degree (computer science, software engineering, or relevant field) or equivalent work experience required. 3-6 years experience required

Specific Skills

  • Experience working with EDI transactions and EDI file processing ideally Healthcare transaction sets , , )
  • Experience working with X12 EDI acknowledgement transactions 824, 997, 999, and TA1, and also proprietary format acknowledgement files.
  • Functional knowledge of Healthcare and HIPAA standards
  • Understanding of general EDI concepts and messaging standards
  • Experience working with EDIFECs software - including Specbuilder, MapBuilder, XEngine, and Route configuration - as well as experience deploying components that are built using those tools
  • Experience with IBM WebSphere components, Oracle Enterprise DB, and J2EE Java is desirable
  • Ability to handle EDI discussions with business partners.
  • Knowledge of proper handling of PHI and file de-identification.
  • Knowledge of various levels of SNIP validation.
  • Experience and proficiency with JavaScript programming.
  • Experience and proficiency with UniX.
  • Experience with code version products and concepts.
