Qualifications:
- Degree educated or higher in a relevant academic subject
- Any industry recognized certifications and/or memberships are also desirable.
- Experience: 10 years +

Cobol
JCL
VSAM
CICS

Key Competencies:
This role requires an experienced Mainframe candidate with banking industry experience. In addition the candidate must be able to demonstrate;
Excellent understanding of Mainframe Development tools including FileAid and Xpediter.
Excellent understanding of Batch/CICS Cobol programming languages and JCL.
Broad computer knowledge with experience in and good understanding of business critical operational IT systems.
Should have broad understanding of the Mainframe technology areas.
Strong level of experience of IT software development and support.
Experience with software development life cycle and support life cycle.
Experience with Project life cycle activities.
Experience in Design and architecture review.
Preferred:
High analytical skills.
A high degree of initiative and flexibility.
High customer orientation.
Ability to work with team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environment.
High quality awareness.
Responsibilities:
- Anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from requirements gathering to solution design, development and deployment. Be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and taking the solution through development to delivery.
- Interface with key client stakeholders and apply your analytical and functional proficiency to define solutions that answer the ever changing requirements of the banking industry.
- Create the Business IT Requirements, high level functional design and technical solution artefacts.
- Leading the team and Mentoring team members
- Desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
