Principal DevOps engineer - Linux | Chef | Terraform | Packer | Vmware
A highly-regarded services and solutions partner, working with a leading financial services client based in Dublin, are currently recruiting for a Principal DevOps engineer to implement a DevOps strategy.
You will require strong hands-on technical experience in CI/CD, configuring applications with Chef into a virtualized environment.
Strong prior experience working within and helping develop a greenfield DevOps practice
- Experience in automated build pipeline, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Hands on experience in provisioning a virtualized environment
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Chef (Imperative)
- Hashicorp products (Terraform, Packer).
- Scripting experience (Ruby, Python, Perl).
- Excellent communication skills and previous experience reporting into CXO level.
- Ability to provide timely solutions to problems in a well thought out and strategic manner.
Key roles
- Assisting in the development and implementation of a DevOps strategy.
- Providing strong technical DevOps knowledge to work both hands-on and provide directive leadership
- Provide logical reasoning to address the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
