Position: Sr. Technical Trainer
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12+ Months (Potential Hire)
DAILY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Promote blended learning solutions and the use of innovative technology and tools to meet business goals.
- C ontribute expertise as a member of I/S functional committees focused on developing a high-performing workforce.
- Create and deliver training and development programs to all levels of end-users and IT professionals.
- Coach/mentor learners upon completion of training as they begin to apply training on the job.
- Conduct and report individual and group-based training and development needs analysis and assessments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of technical curriculum. Interact with technical vendors and education solutions on IT offerings.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND:
- Basic understanding of the I/S strategy, organization, methodology, and infrastructure.
- Able to apply appropriate development methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver case studies to ensure relevant skill, knowledge, and competency transfer.
- Capable of integrating business/technical concepts when designing/delivering courses/materials.
- In-depth knowledge of systems, applications, and programming Training experience, including I/T course development and delivery,
- I/T technical experience.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent (extra 4 years work exp)
- 3 years Training experience, including I/T course development and delivery.
- Some programming experience or strong knowledge is required.
- Instructional background with understanding of adult learning principles
- Understanding of software development life cycle.
