Position: Security Business Analyst
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 6months +

Job Description
The Business Analyst is responsible for working with business representative, stakeholders, or related third parties to the following:
Analyze, define and document business processes, software and technical requirements
Make recommendations for improvements based on analysis
Work with product manager to understand product deliverables and implementation

A Business Analyst is expected to:
Analyze, evaluate, diagram current business process
Define, understand and outline business gaps, issues, and objectives
Work with key business leaders, stakeholders, product owners to understand business process
Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend improvements
Assist in evaluation of potential software solutions, both off-the-shelf and internal solutions
Create function requirements, such as use cases or user stories
Work with testing teams to identify and clarify business process development

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years domain knowledge in Information Technology. Experience in information security and information assurance is a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology or other related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Clear and concise documentation skills
  • Use cases, business process and decision models
  • Wireframe prototypes and work-flow diagrams (a plus)
  • Excellent meeting facilitations skills and elicitation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Ability to self-manage
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite as well as Visio
  • Understanding of database concepts
  • Must be able to travel a few times out of the year

Business Analyst Roles & Responsibilities:
Understand business processes
Analyze, evaluate, diagram current business process
Complete use cases, business process and decision models
Develop wireframe prototypes and work-flow diagrams
Define, understand and outline business gaps, issues, and objectives
Create function requirements, such as use cases or user stories
Analyze and evaluate systems integration as it relates to business and information technology aspects

Interact and communicate with key stakeholders and other team members
Work with key business leaders, stakeholders, product managers to understand business process Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and recommend improvements
Work with testing teams to identify and clarify business processes developed
Define project deliverables
Define scope of project at high level, as well as detailed level
Assist in defining scope on a technical level
Assist with finalizing project artifacts
PID - Project Initiative Document: Outlines the high level project alignment with business strategy
BRD - Business Requirements Document: Outlines business problems and solutions
FRD - Functional Requirements Document
RFP - Requests for Proposal
RFI - Requests for Information Facilitate meetings if a Project Manager is not assigned to project Support technical teams in documentation of requirements (data flow, data mapping, business logic, work flow, etc.), development of test plans, test scripts for functional testing, provide daily support for application challenges

Evaluation of potential software solutions
Assist in evaluation of potential software solutions, both off-the-shelf and internal solutions
Assist with analysis for potential software solutions, POC, bake-offs etc.
Assess the value of solutions as they relate to business needs
