CONTRACT PHP DEVELOPER FOR RBI (FTSE100 RELX GROUP) - EXCITING, AMBITIOUS & TALENTED PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY CREATING ONLINE DATA PRODUCTS - PHP / AWS / HTML5 / JAVASCRIPT / AGILE
•Contract PHP Developer for Reed Business Information - Major development opportunity in thriving and innovation led online brand.
•This role will sit within the Product Development department of RBI, part of the FTSE100 RELX Group.
•6 month contract with possible extensions
•Competitive day rate
Overview:
RBI is looking for a contract PHP Developer to assist with updates and fixes to our estate of PHP applications that need migrating into AWS (from our legacy data centres).
Some of our sites will need updating to later versions of PHP (to fit later version of OS) and all of the work that will likely arise from those changes.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to work off of own initiative, as well as being part of the DevOps team and having access to systems engineers and the PHP development team for support.
Skills & Requirements:
Essential:
•Strong PHP, including object oriented.
•Strong user of PHP frameworks, especially Code Igniter or similar.
•Strong user of JavaScript, especially JQuery and related libraries.
•Strong frontend skills (fixing HTML/CSS rendering issues etc.)
•Amazon Web Services
•Identifying and applying any necessary fixes/updates to our estate of PHP applications
•Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
