Position: PLM Project Manager
Location: East Aurora, NY
Duration: 12 months
Job Description:
- Supporting the A&D PLM Program Leadership team, you'll manage projects from kick-off to completion, ensuring the relevant business and technical elements are fully represented
- Maintain and develop the project schedule while managing dependencies on the wider organization
- Manage the project scope, deadlines and budgets in line with the tolerances agreed with the Program Manager
- Working with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Lead, conduct an effective OCM process including training and communications
- Track project metrics and carry out a formal review process at the end of each phase
- Anticipate deviations from the project plan and carry out immediate corrective measures
- Assign, monitor and support the internal and external project resources
- Report to the Program Manager and provide regular status updates for the Program Leadership team
- Manage the commitment, effectiveness and morale of the project team
To be considered for this position you'll need the following:
- A four year Bachelor degree, and typically a Masters degree in either a technical or business discipline
- A minimum of six years of progressive experience in project management
- Proven track record as an Teamcenter PLM implementation project leader within a global engineering and manufacturing organization
- Significant experience leading projects that encompass both business and technical change
- Persuasive leader with the ability of seeing the whole picture and delivering in a partnering style
- Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to listen, question and understand end users' needs
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of engineering processes
- Formal project management certification from a professional body (PMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent)
Required skills:
- Experience working in the field of engineering within a manufacturing industry
- Proven knowledge and experience working with information technology
- Work experience gained within Siemens TeamCenter application
- Formal project management certification from a professional body (PMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent)
Education:
- BA Engineering preferred
