Software Engineer - Coding, Testing, ADA
A Software Engineer with Coding and Testing experience ideally in ADA is required to work on a ten month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Lancashire.
Overview of the Software Engineer contract role
A Software Engineering position exists in the Military Aircraft Avionics Team to cover the coding and testing aspects of adding substantial elements of new functionality to an existing design and target architecture
This task will include the use of enhanced methods and tools in the requirements capture phase and so traceability to these methods must be provided in the software design. The project work will consist of adding substantial new capabilities to the Display & Controls subsystem as part of the Phase 2 Enhancement programme.
Key skills required for the Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities will include:
* Development of the Risk Class 2* Application Software using Ada.
* Development of the Design using HOOD/Rhapsody.
* Requirements traceability using DOORS & Statemate.
* Unit testing with the use of AdaTEST.
* E-ICD tool for review of ICD baselines.
* SW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE.
* HW/SW integration testing with the use of MaTE TRCF.
* Use of AdaMulti and GPS
* Script development using Perl/DCL/SQL.
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds
