Senior Hadoop Consultant Engineer
For one of my major blue chip clients we urgently require a Senior Hadoop Consultant Engineer for a long term contract partially based in Prague - You will need to be flexible as the job will require at least 50% travel within Europe along with the occasional trip to America.
As a Senior Hadoop Consultant Engineer will have the following skills & experience:
- 4+ years of experience programming in Java or Scala
- Hadoop, Spark or MapReduce
- Linux/Unix
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, relational database design and methods
- Prior experience leading technical teams
- Programming experience with any of the Hadoop tools (HDFS, Pig, Hive, Hbase, Scoop, Kafka, etc.)
- Familiarity with different development methodologies (eg agile, waterfall, XP, scrum, etc)
- Experience in building complex and non-interactive systems (batch, distributed, etc.)
Base location: Prague.
Contract: Long term (24months +)
Rates: Negotiable + travel expenses away from base location.
