Tangent International are urgently looking for a FTTS/GPON Project Manager to work 3 month extendable contracts in South Africa (Cape Town)Job Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the FTTS/GPON Project for client Corporation.
- Reporting on a national level on all FTTS/GPON related matters.
- Presenting to MTN senior management on a weekly basis on project progress and status.
- Project costing.
- Project risk analyses.
- Project planning and scheduling.
- Project tracking and reporting.
- Project invoicing.
- Responsible for ensuring all project planning and designing completion is done in the times set out by the client.
- Responsible for liaising with the client on all aspects of Fibre related works from planning to acceptance.
- Give project planning and progress reporting to TX Project Director.
- Managing and organizing site surveys, making sure all site survey notes, t-plans, wayleave applications, C-Quotes etc. are processed and submitted for client and authority approval.
- Planning all aspects for commencement of civil work ie schedules, contractors, supervision, HSE, material etc.
- Subcontractor management during the execution of the project, including, but not limited to outsourcing organization, communication outsourcing, outsourcing schedule control, quality assessment of outsourcing, outsourcing performance evaluation;
- Responsible for project progress reporting and information, and is directly responsible for project acceptance;
- Change management, project monitoring, ensuring engineering change control in a reasonable range;
- Maintenance and upgrading. customer relationships during the execution of the project .
Job Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelors Degree and Masters in engineering,telecommunication or other relevant background.
- Work Experience: at least 4-5 experience in telecommunication industry, especially with fibre or FTTS/GPON experience, 3-4 year minimum project management experience .
- High sense of duty, self-initiative, hard working, able to work overtime when project requires, adapt to multi-cultural environment.
