Communications Manager - Retail Banking - Commercial Banking - Business Readiness - Future Clearing Model - Business Change - London

A leading Retail Bank based in London is seeking a Communications Manager to on work on a Clearing Project with the Banks Commercial Division.

The successful Communications Manager will work very closely with the wider Project Team and Commercial Business to:

  • Understand and determine the impact of change on clients and colleagues, gaining a detailed understanding of the impacts

  • Support the management of impacted stakeholders to lead colleagues through the change journey for client and colleagues

  • Based on detailed understanding define and recommend the right approaches for the communication needs of each impacted business area and population

  • Champion the interest of interested clients and colleagues through the change life cycle

  • Establish key messages to deliver client & colleague journeys, creating strategic communication plans and visions which align and maximise the potential of those journeys

  • Create a detailed communications plan

  • Design, create and deliver high impacting and creative client communications engaging with Data Services & Marketing to facilitate

  • Design appropriate client outreach approaches, supporting delivery of those approaches where appropriate

  • Design, create and deliver high impacting colleague communications for both operational and transformational change

  • Utilise the knowledge of the Business Readiness team about the available communication channels and preferences of business area to deliver the right message at the right time for each impacted audience

  • Create and deliver presentations and briefings as part of a suite of effective communications, innovating to ensure there is not overreliance on written channels

  • Assess and report on communications effectiveness

  • Maintain a breadth of view of client and colleague communications and consolidate messages for maximum effect

  • Manage share point sites, blogs and work with Digital to ensure relevant web pages are up to date

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills within financial services (ideally retail banking):

  • Previous experience in a Communications Manager role

  • Financial Services experience ideally in retail or commercial banking

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Presentation and Briefing Experience

  • Experience of delivering a strategic communications strategy to a wide internal audience

  • As well as proven experience on a large scale programme within a banking environment.
