Description

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer in planning, implementation and documentation of the installation, supervision and commissioning process within a new build Biomass plant.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure planning, implementation and documentation of the commissioning process in the assigned technical area.
  • Day-to-day management and participate in toolbox meetings, coordination and documentation of the commissioning work within the defined technical area.
  • Ensure that commissioning within the defined technical area is executed effectively; and on time.
  • Ensure that the work is in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation.
  • Ensure that tests are carried out and that commissioning work is documented (ITP). according to rules, procedures and templates.
  • Participate in the preparation of manuals and test documentation for the plants including all SAT and FAT.
  • Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively.
  • Any other activities, as directed by the Commissioning Manager.
  • Reporting to Construction Director and Senior Project Manager.

Tasks

  • Participate in review, preparation and coordination of detailed commissioning schedules.
  • Perform day-to-day installation/commissioning assigned tasks.
  • Control that tests are carried out and documented.
  • Supervision and quality control during mounting/installation of electrical systems.
  • Participate in witnessing of FAT, depend on schedule.
  • SAT - report deviations/troubles to the package manager of the equipment.
  • Be an active part of the SIT test especially by supporting Protection and test engineers.
  • Monitor and document performance test of sub-systems.
  • Participate in the preparation of snagging lists.
  • Ensure that the necessary safety signs/notices, barriers and other safety measures are implemented on a day-to-day basis during commissioning.
  • Co-operate to control that all HSE procedures are implemented.
  • Co-operate to control that everything within the defined technical area is covered in relation to subsequent operation.
  • Ensure installation quality is according to DE standard.
  • Carry out tests on electrical equipment when needed.

Deliverables

  • Completed and signed manuals and test documentation for the plants including all SAT and FAT's. Documentation of maintenance and service.
  • Decision authority.
  • Recommend remedial actions in terms of the quality level within defined scope.
  • Take decisions related to daily coordination activities.

Qualifications

  • Engineer or marine engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience with commissioning of large biomass plants.
  • Must have experience of commissioning the following gasification, gas turbines, boilers, steam handling, air cooled condensers, heat exchangers, gas filtration, gas treatment, feed water plant, C&I, grid connections, transformers, HV/LV switchgear & panels, utilities, connections to existing utilities, ash handling, bag filters, noise & emissions monitoring & control with testing within and Energy From Waste or Biomass plants.
  • Have a solid knowledge of English - written and spoken.
