Description
Our high profile Banking client currently has an opportunity for a Collateral Management & Reconciliations Analyst to work in their based in London.
The collateral function exists to mitigate counterparty risk in the capital markets according to the agreements executed by the Firm. This involves reviewing the firm's exposure (Repo, Securities Lending, OTC Derivative or Prime Brokerage) on a daily basis and working with the counterparty to either deliver or receive cash or securities to extinguish the exposure.
Key Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows
- Collateral Management/Portfolio Reconciliations
- Knowledge of current regulations associated with Margining
- Client Money/Client Asset reporting
- Stakeholder management
Responsibilities:
- Core collateral management tasks:
Issuing margin calls to clients/Respond to client margin calls
Booking agreed collateral into various systems
Investigation and reconciliation of client portfolios aligning MTM's and mitigating the firm's risk.
Agreeing and settling interest on cash collateral and payment processing.
- Relationship management: daily engagement with key external and internal stakeholders, performing the daily margin process and managing client expectations.
- Collaboration: interface with other divisions and departments in implementing standards and processes to support effective management of counterparty exposure.
- System Implementation:
Assisting with testing and implementation of new Global Collateral Margining system
Opportunity to work with other regions to ensure roll out is a success
Identify solutions that will deliver process and system improvements in future releases.
