Description:

NOC Analysts are responsible for coordinating and sometimes executing hardware repairs on Servers, are regularly troubleshooting issues with Servers, and following SOPs provided by technology owners to address recurring issues requiring an understanding of systems administration at the server level. The NOC operates primarily out of a ticketing queue which updates in Real Time to show infrastructure related alerts for over 5,000 Servers at over 400 sites globally. Due to this, remote system administration experience is key to success in this role.

For this NOC Analyst role, Systems Administration experience is required in:

  • Windows Server
  • and/or
  • Unix/Linux server platforms

Other desirable skills include:

  • Backup/Restore

  • Networking (Cisco)
  • SQL Database
  • Virtual machines

Required:

  • Requires technical degree and/or applicable work experience.
  • Solve computer problems and use computer technology to meet the needs of an organization.
  • Design and develop new computer systems by choosing and configuring hardware and software.
  • Devise ways to apply existing systems' resources to additional tasks.
  • Work with specific types of computer systems-for example, business, accounting, or financial systems or scientific and engineering systems.
  • Use techniques such as structured analysis, data modelling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and cost accounting to make sure their plans are efficient and complete.
  • Create custom applications tailored to an organization's tasks.
  • Proficient in both programming and systems analysis.
