System Engineer (Redhat/Linux/CentOS/Jboss/Tomcat).
Our market leading client is seeking and experienced System Engineer to be part of the team working in their R&D hub. Working on leading edge technologies you will manage Servers in the DTAP environments for Traffic and Travel information services, where your efforts will directly affect the experience of millions of users world-wide.
You will work on issue resolution, working on structural improvements, directly with the development team to co-create a stable and world-class service delivery.
As a member of a global team, you are responsible for:
Skills:
- Experience with VM platform services including OpenStack/CloudStack/AWS/Azure
- Experience working with puppet to manage Servers and release software
- 10-15 years of Redhat/Linux/CentOS/Jboss/Tomcat/MySQL experience in a 24/7 environment, preferably in a global company
- Bash/Shell, Python, Ruby Scripting experience
- Experience with Nagios or equivalent tools
- English full professional proficiency; German is an advantage
- Comfortable to work under pressure and juggle multiple topics at once
- Troubleshooting of VM platform, network, application and Middleware issues
- We are looking for a real team-player who's willing to coach junior colleagues
