Description:

  • The product sourcing specialist Position will work closely with the ARC (Madison Wi.) project team to execute a key technology transfer. Responsibilities to include but not limited to; New supplier qualification, track specific tasks pertaining to supplier execution, price negotiations, weekly report out of actions complete, next steps, and help needed.
  • The assignment will be January 2017 to November 2017 based out of the Madison Wi. Traveling to local suppliers approximately 30%-40% of the time. (30 Mile radius)

Key responsibilities:

  • New supplier site qualifications
  • Track equipment relocation to a preferred supplier.
  • Liaison between supplier and cross functional team regarding supplier execution. (Local Supplier visits required)
  • Track product inventory at pitching supplier
  • Negotiate supplier pricing and lead times.
  • Create and update Blanket purchase agreements. (oracle based systems)

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of Purchasing Controls Procedure and associated Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that all purchased product and services conform to specified requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3 plus years' experience in Mechanical engineering, sourcing, manufacturing engineering, or project management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets development and analysis.
  • Proficient in project planning spreadsheets.
  • Experience with Oracle based systems.
  • Experience with Agile based systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working experience with development and production of medical equipment.
  • Practical experience in balancing and optimizing engineering process rigor with product delivery priorities.
  • Effective problem solving ability to influence others (cross-functionally).
  • Demonstrate strong execution skills and ability to drive change.
  • Experience with Oracle systems.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 40% of time. (within 30-mile radius of Madison WI Operations)
