Position description
This client's Device Connection Platform is a connectivity platform (provided as a service) for mobile operators to provide M2M connectivity towards enterprises. It enables operators to address new revenue streams from a vast variety of devices while simplifying the process and reducing the cost of connecting them in order to benefit from economies of scale. The platform provides access to key functionalities including, for example, subscription management, device management and operator and enterprise self-service portals.
This client expects you to have:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or other related field
- 3-4 years of hands on database administration experience
- Comprehensive knowledge on
- Oracle DB and Oracle Warehouse
- nosql or other databases
- Database design and administration
- DB architectures and concepts
- Optimizing database performance
- Data migration
- Data encryption
- Database hardening
- SQL script development
- Oracle RAC Cluster Databases
- Experience on database installations, upgrades and patching
- Experience with Linux and Shell Scripting skills
- Experience on troubleshooting
- Experience on database and storage as a cloud based service
- Business and customer focused mindset
- Flexibility in dealing with changing situations
- Good communication and networking skills in English (Finnish/Swedish is bonus, but not mandatory)
- Good understanding of the lean and agile principles
This client would also appreciate if you have:
- MSc in Computer Science or other related field
- Experience with implementing and integrating 3rd-party software solutions
- Solid understanding of information management, data modelling, system integration, development methodologies (including unit testing)
- Experience on SAP BO Analytics and/or Oracle BRM
- Excellent communication skills; strong analytical skills and a solution driven
