Systems Engineer, Brussels > Belgium

A leading financial organization are searching for a Systems Engineer to join a team responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the monitoring infrastructure in large high-availability environments covering 3000+ Servers ( Windows, Linux, and Solaris ). spread across 3 data centers. The team also monitor several IBM Mainframes, Links with network monitoring tools, performance and capacity monitoring systems and HP Non Stop Servers.

The Successful candidate will participate in support of monitoring the infrastructure and configure monitoring definition and code monitoring scenarios/rules according to initial end-user and technical specialist requirements. The System Engineer will be involved in third-line and second-line support, fixing technical incidents.

Essential Skills:

- 5 Years hands-on experience in designing, implementing, maintaining and managing monitoring or ITIL products in a large environment.

- Good knowledge of Windows, Unix and Linux operating systems

- Very good skills in Scripting ( Perl, Python, Shell, VBS, Java )

Desired:

- Expertise in one of the following products (IPlabel Newtest, CA SDM, BMC ITSM, BMC ADDM, IBM Netcool Omnibus, IBM Netcool Impact or IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Splunk, BusinessBridge) is an asset
