Solution Designer (Mainframe)
My client is currently seeking for a Solution Designer (Mainframe) to work on a long term contract in Oslo, Norway.
As a Solution Designer (Mainframe) you will be required to be skilled within the following:
- Minimum 10 years' experience creating Architecture roadmaps and application models that span the Technology, Application and Data layers for complex, high-available Mainframe systems as part of diverse, multi technology enterprise-wide business solutions.
- Experience authoring IT standards, frameworks and patterns across the Technology, Application and Data architecture domains
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic IT technologies and related processes, procedures, and decision support.
- In-depth technical experience with zOS and DB2 and application/performance tuning . IMS is plus,
- Excellent technical knowledge of current Mainframe systems software, protocols, and standards.
- Expert knowledge of programming languages including Cobol, JCL, CICS and DB2
- Experience in Integration patterns like MQ, Web applications, etc.
- Demonstrated success in large scale IT initiatives/transformations across enterprise platforms.
- Experience in application of SOA principles to large enterprise Mainframe systems
- Strong knowledge of the best available tools, software, applications, and systems for attaining best-in-class IT technology across the enterprise.
- Extensive experience in multiple technical infrastructure design areas and in technology management.
- Project planning and management experience.
- Excellent understanding of change management and testing requirements, techniques, and tools.
- Ability to create constructive relationships, influence, and communicate (to project team, IT management, and non-technical staff).
- Ability to lead complex, cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
- Experience in Cards, Payments and Core banking is plus
