My client is an asset management house based in the city.

They are looking for a client services project manager to come on board on a 6 month rolling contract paying £/Day.

The team is responsible for supporting the business in the delivery of exemplary service to a range of clients consisting of Insurance Companies, Financial Institutions, Pension Funds and other Corporate Investors. Client mandates vary from smaller clients investing in pooled vehicles with less than £10 million to substantial corporate mandates of increasing size and complexity. The team's performance is critical to the success of the business as a whole. The role of the team, and of each individual, is to absorb and manage as much as possible of the client service workload created by the clients and consultants.

This role will work alongside the current Client Service Manager and will consist of a combination of direct people management within the client service team, alongside stakeholder and initiative management.

Responsibilities will include
*All tasks resulting from direct people management responsibilities including regular 1:1's, providing and soliciting performance feedback, coaching and personal development and acting as point of escalation.
*Management of project and initiatives with client service impact. This could include regulatory initiatives, client communications, reporting or workflow projects.
*Acting as point of escalation in client issues, the client service manager will need to ensure that high standards of client service are maintained whilst effectively driving issues to resolution and managing communication with internal stakeholders.

This is a dynamic and role in a rapidly growing area of the business. The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation for institutional client service, strong organisation skills, a broad understanding of investment management and a proactive and team-focussed attitude.

The client service manager will be accountable for the successful running of the day to day functions of the client service team which will include

*Responding promptly and professionally to day to day and ad hoc client and consultant requests
*Co-ordinating the production and signature of IMAs (including guidelines and fees) and side letters
*Project-managing the transition of client assets to and from my client. Working with the legal teams, Transition Managers (where applicable) and the transitions management team.
*Escalating all overdue or likely to become overdue matters to wider client team.
*Circulate signed documentation and instructions to appropriate internal parties and NT in timely manner
*Promptly request and track receipt of information required from clients to satisfy AML requirements and counterparty bank credit reviews.
*Prioritise work, communicate with and manage internal stakeholders effectively
*Manage ad hoc requests effectively. Identify a clear date for response and ensure that we meet the deadline. Escalate or re-communicate, as appropriate.
*Assist in the preparation of the first drafts of IMA, guidelines, fees and side letters and circulate for comments and sign off
*Log errors and near misses on Resolve or with NT on discovery and communicate effectively internally.
*Track resolution of errors to ensure that compensation or amendments do get made and escalate to CD or Head of Client Support as appropriate
*File soft and hard copy documentation in line with filing policy
*Develop detailed knowledge of the clients and the environment in which we provide solutions
*Gain the confidence and endorsement of the Client Directors, Performance Measurement team, Financial Solutions Group and the Front Office
*Actively seek the opportunity to engage with clients and escalate any change in temperature immediately upon discovery
*Attend client events, where appropriate, to support the CD and build an independent relationship with the client.

What my client is looking for in a candidate:

*Proven people management experience gained within an institutional client environment.
*Knowledge of institutional markets, including defined benefit pension schemes, insurance companies, corporates and third party distributors.
*Prior experience of working with Fixed Income and Derivative instruments.
*Strong verbal and written communication skills.
*Confident, credible and capable in meetings and discussions at all levels internally and externally.
*Ability to organise, prioritise and multi task effectively in a busy and dynamic environment.
*Demonstrable ability to problem solve to ensure projects are completed on time.
*Demonstrable interest in investment strategies.
*Proven effective use of resources.
