An excellent opportunity has arisen to join us on a Migration Project in Italy.
We require a number of Network Engineers to fit 3 teams to support a migration project (Preparation, Execution and Troubleshoot/Follow up)
Location: Rome.
Duration: 12 months and very likely to extend.
Languages: Italian/English
Essential: working knowledge of IOS and IOS-XR platforms.
Base prerequisite is the understanding of OSPF (multiple areas) and MPLS and its labelling distribution protocols. Knowledge of MP-BGP VRF and TargetLDP signalled pseudowires.
Knowledge of Service Instances (equivalent in IOS-XR l2vpn xconnect groups).
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of Pwe3s (pseudowire emulation end-to-end) and VPLS (statically signaled).
Project skills: Ability to read and understand a deployment plan and understand the basic structures in the Local Exchange (for example but not limited to, have the knowledge of patch-panels, how to physically build a fiber interconnection between two nodes and be able to instruct on field teams on how to do them).
Ability to check, validate and produce configurations (ie from IOS to IOS-XR or Junos).
Ideally the candidate should work with the Customer Automated tools for provisioning of this physical infrastructure and guide the pre- staging activities (ensure that all patches are correct, etc).
The candidate should have a working knowledge of Linux and how to launch and supervise automated programs that will ease others' team work. Preferred candidates will be the ones with knowledge of Java and Shell Scripting.
Certifications:
Cisco Certifications will be desirable: CCNA,CCNP, CCIE
