Outline Job Profile:

The successful candidate will be required to apply for and receive a disclosure Scotland certificate prior to commencement of the contract.

Scope of work:

Within the Supply Management Business Division to provide contractual support to departmental staff and internal customers during all Equipment Supply Management phases (sourcing, procurement, purchasing).
You will report to the Head of Supply Contracts and Business Support.

Responsibilities:

*Maintain a satisfactory understanding of relevant legislation and practices associated with Equipment subcontracting activities.
*Managing the definition and ensuring the implementation of the procurement contractual policy and the associated procurement contractual T&Cs.
*Participate to the improvement of processes and the deployment of best practices related to Equipment Supply Contracts Management, in liaison with the other team members.
*Ensure flow-down from prime contracts and implementation of the relevant contractual and commercial policies in all supply contracts documents. Liaise with legal, finance, insurance, customs, taxes etc., as needed.
*Co-ordinate with the Commodity Managers for the issue of Request For Proposal (RFP), generate the draft supply contract and RFP cover letter.
*Support the Commodity Managers in the evaluation of supplier proposals regarding contractual and commercial aspects and provide inputs to the Tender Evaluation Board.
*Provide contractual and commercial support to the Procurement Managers (CM, PSM) during the negotiation phase with the suppliers.
*Prepare authorisations to proceed and negotiate contractually with suppliers, Supply Contracts and other agreements eg Memoranda of Agreement (MoA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA).
*Support the Internal Customer with the preparation and issue of intra-Company and inter-Company Work Orders.
*Lead the signature process for all Supply Contracts documents.
*Manage the contractual and commercial aspects of the executed Supply Contract including those related to change.
*Follow-up invoicing and payment process and status.
*Archive the Supply Contracts in specified documentation data-base.

There may be some travel to our STV site or very occasionally overseas. This will be infrequent (less than once a month) for which expenses in accordance with the expense policy for subcontractors will be paid.

Qualifications and/or Skills:

*Degree in Law or Business, or demonstrated previous experience in a similar position
*Good knowledge of contracts terms and conditions, understanding of legal implications, contract change process.
*Experience of complex supply contracts in an engineering environment.
*Negotiation skills.
*Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player,
*Analytical skills, rigorous.
*Well organized, capacity to work with autonomy within the respect of internal procedures and objectives.
*Excellent command of English (written and verbal).
*Previous Experience
*Contracting or legal experience in an engineering project industry, preferably in Space-related business.
*Experience with ESA Tendering Process and GCCs.
