Description
A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for a SCADA Site Engineer to work on their offshore wind farm project. This is a 12 month freelance role to commence 6th February 2017 up until approx. 28th February 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter.
Hours of work will be approx. 10hrs a day, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- To be SCADA site presence during the installation phase and to interface with the clients design engineers, these engineers will be located at the clients offices in Europe and have limited site presence.
- SCADA Commissioning Supervisor to include, but not be limited to, the following SCADA work packages, SCS metering, network, communications and interfacing with the protection package engineers for the protection interface to SCADA, SCADA specialist engineer to be acceptance signatory.
- To be present at the SCADA SCS FAT in conjunction with the SCADA SCS Engineer to ensure that a full and complete FAT is achieved prior to equipment shipment to site.
- Have SCS SAT acceptance authority, to sign off SCS SAT testing. SCADA PM or SCADA CM to have authorisation signatory responsibility.
- Manage/supervise supplier site engineers during the SAT stage.
- Work with the clients site Integration Team and the clients HV commissioning team as requested.
- To provide interface to various site stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
- Qualified as an Electrical Engineer
- Experience within UK energy market
- Experience of SCADA systems
- Experience within the UK construction sector
- Experience of NGET SCADA interfaces
- NGET BESC/Competent Person
- CSCS/ECITB Qualification required
