Description
A Global Renewable Energy client is looking for x1 SCADA Site Engineer to work on their offshore wind farm project. This is a 12 month freelance role to commence 6th February 2017 up until approx. 28th
February 2018 with the possibility of extending further thereafter.
Onshore hours of work/rotation: 10hrs, 5 days a week in Edinburgh. Offshore on-board vessel from the North East, rotation 5/2, 7/7, or 14/14 this may vary. The Consultant could also expect a change of location September/October 2017.
Responsibilities:
- To be SCADA site presence during the installation phase and to interface with the clients design engineers. These engineers will be located at the clients offices in Europe and have limited site presence.
- SCADA commissioning supervisor to include but not be limited to the following SCADA work packages, SCS metering, network, communications and interfacing with the protection package engineers for the protection interface to SCADA. SCADA specialist engineer to be acceptance signatory.
- To be present at the SCADA FAT in conjunction with the SCADA Engineer to ensure that a full and complete FAT is achieved prior to equipment shipment to site.
- Have SCS SAT acceptance authority, to sign off SCS SAT testing. SCADA PM or SCADA CM to have authorisation signatory responsibility.
- Manage/supervise supplier site engineers during the SAT stage.
- To work with the clients Site Integration Team and the clients HV Commissioning Team when required.
- Provide interface to various site stakeholders when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience within UK energy market.
- Experience of SCADA systems.
- Experience within the UK construction sector.
- CSCS/ECITB Qualification required.
- Must have valid GWO certificates + Helicopter Survival.
- Qualified as an Electrical Engineer.
- The Consultant must bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and iPhone mobile telephone.
