The client is looking for an experienced (senior level) Development engineer to strengthen one of its multidisciplinary teams that delivers complex propositions for our clients. In this squad you will work side-by-side with UX and Customer Journey experts on these propositions.
Job Description
- Develop fast, resilient and secure code for the IT propositions.
- Continuous delivery: Bring your code to production frequently within an enterprise environment.
- Collaborate closely with other squad members and business representatives with clear and open communication.
- Extensively coach and support less experienced squad members in mastering the craft of programming
- Write clear and concise documentation about your code.
Desired skills & experience
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Great English and preferably Dutch communication skills, verbal as well as written
- You love technology and naturally stay up-to-date on relevant new developments.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- You are able to develop efficient and maintainable code with the right balance between solving the problem at hand and not over-engineering your solution
- You have hands on OO design experience and knowledge of software design patterns
- Good knowledge of OS fundamentals (eg Linux, Windows)
- Passionate about code quality and (integration) test automation
- Knowledge of performance testing is a pre
- Excellent knowledge of Java 7/8 including the Spring framework 3.x/4.x
- Knowledge of Spring Batch is a pre
- Knowledge of AngularJS and JavaScript
- Knowledge of WebComponents and Polymer or other modern Front End framework is a pre
- Experience with tooling such as Git/GitLab, Maven, Jenkins, Grunt, Bower, Gulp, NPM
- Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle) or NoSQL databases (Cassandra)
- Working knowledge of JPA/Hibernate is a pre
