GIS Consultant, LONDON - OIL & GAS SECTOR

We are seeking an experienced GIS Consultant, with deep practical knowledge and experience of GIS Applications, to join our team in London for a long-term Contract positon at a leading major O&G company. The role is hands-on and you will be expected to lead this area and grow the service internally.
Key requirements of the role are:
Essential

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in the field of Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Geoscience, Survey Engineering, or related field, or Information Technology or Information & Data Management complemented by significant Upstream and Geospatial experience

10+ years' experience in delivering geospatial data and project support across multiple Oil and Gas user environments

Working knowledge of ESRI technology platform (ArcGIS, ArcSDE, Geoevent), model builder, and other applicable Geospatial tools.

Hands-on experience with ArcGIS suite along with Portal for ArcGIS (the ArcGIS Server experience must include Portal for ArcGIS Server)

Thorough knowledge and experience with python Scripting and geospatial monitoring systems

Working knowledge of other Upstream technology (eg Finder, Openworks, OpenSpirit, Petra, Petrel, PPDM, GoCAD, Geographix, etc) and how they interact with GIS.

5+ years in IT and/or project management domain

Thorough understanding of both IT and Upstream Oil & Gas key business processes

Demonstrable experience linking Strategy to operational delivery

3+ year experience in Management of Change or business process improvement

Experience working with technical teams, business analysts and process subject matter experts across various IT Functions and geographies

Experience interacting with external vendor teams and resolving product issues.
- Excellent record of Stakeholder Management and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable

MS degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Geoscience, Survey Engineering, or related field

Prior experience (5+ years) leading technical efforts in the delivery of Geospatial solutions, workflows and data across diverse user environments.

GISP and/or CMS certifications preferred
