ILS Engineer- Armoured Fighting Vehicles
An ILS Engineer with Armoured Fighting Vehicles is required to work on a four month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Telford.
This is a 4 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the ILS Engineer contract role
You will be part of the Support Engineering function as an ILS Team Leader. This vacancy requires significant support engineering experience, especially regarding military equipment, and also offers a development opportunity for the successful candidate regarding all engineering and management competencies.
Key skills required for the ILS Engineer
- Must have a good understanding of the support engineering/ILS discipline (Essential).
- Must have significant experience of Def-Stan 00- and JSP 886 and their tailoring/application to major defence programmes (Essential).
- Experience of ASD S3000L and its application to supportability analysis programmes (Highly Desirable).
- Must have a working understanding of SHE and product safety (Essential).
- Recent British Army Armoured Fighting Vehicle management experience (Highly Desirable).
The role is based in Telford commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford and Bridgenorth.
